Foto rino valido

Rino Valido was born in Varazze in 1947.
In 1967 he moved to Genoa to begin his experience in art field, after a few years he starts collaborating in Arte Poleschi Gallery in Lucca, working with the most important names of contemporary art. With a great wish of new experiences, in 1978 he opens a creative studio of image and communication, collaborating with relevant Italian societies and public institutes, creating their company identification connecting art and industry.
He has taken part to the most important Italian Art Fairs, Expo Arte in Bari, Arte Fiera in Bologna..
He has created official posters for literature prices, such as Premio Bancarella. You can find his works in public and private collections in Italy and abroad. .
Luciano Caramel describes his studio in Genova as the reflection of the double nature of Rino Valido’s experience: divided in two main rooms, as the human mind is divided in two hemispheres. Whereas on the one hand there’s the rational hemisphere, “a really tidy room full of archives, compters, cds, scanners, plans”, where Valido works as designer ( it’s opportune to underline his intervention for Ansaldo), on the other hand there’s the “right hemisphere” of the atelier. This last one offers “ colour-covered tables, pots and bottles with coloured dusts, mysterious substances, and all around felt-tip pens, broad knifes, and paintings everywhere.”
These canvas represent the link between the rich creativeness and a great knowledge of colours, matured in a long experience in the typographic industry, which permits to his paintings to keep a researched harmony and never loose their balance, using also the most mixed matters. We can mention other artists who, as Rino Valido, had starter their artistic career in graphics, to convert the acquired skills to artistic creation: René Magritte, Costantino Nivola, Andy Wahrol.
Rino Valido’s work is capable t ogive a singolar vision of the questions about the “chords” of colours together with the shapes, about their “personalities” and “sounds” and their “weighs” in the composition, subjects of Kandinskij’s discussions in “On the Spiritual in Art” (1910).
Rino Valido put together simphonies of “precious or common cloths, tatters, differents for their age and geographic origin, charged of their stories, denounced by their wear and by the signed of their antecedent function. [ … ] Also these insertions, similar to marquetry, are a part of the dominant orchestration of tonalities of his paintings, sometimes in a low warm dimension, often vivid, and sometimes shrilling and bright, which reminds, more than the analytic elaboration of the Cubism, or the ancient or physic objectuality pre-pop, Atanasio Soldati in the second post-war period, or Matisse’s ”gouaches découpées” of the Fifties.”
Valido’s work takes life from two different studios: one in the historic centre of Genoa, and one in St. Raphael in Provence, where in the Nineties the artist conceived “ the vibrant Camargue landscapes, executed using the entire scale of Louberon ochre colours, which constitute the first step to the more synthetic landscapes painted after 1999”, following the same evocative abstract tendence.
